Ohsu vs nyu

Oregon >>>>>> NYU
Cost, beautiful state (especially if you love the outdoors), west coast > east coast, Oregon has less patients but if you look at student to patient ratio, Oregon wins by a lot, thus you'll get more clinical experience.
Though, I may be a bit biased because I lived in Oregon for 6 years and would definitely love to retire there.

Your profile picture tells me your a west coast kind of guy. The city is beautiful in a different way. If an urban setting fits you, you will feel at home in NYC. However, NYC will definitely be more expensive than Oregon. From what I read and heard on this forum, NYU will give you more than enough patients to work with.

So if I have a profile pic of Messi (one of my favorite football/soccer players) am I a South American type of guy? lol
NYU is really expensive compare to Oregon. You can expect 525k in debt before interests.

I would say OHSU because I've heard negative things about NYU "weeding" students out. However I've also heard things about hidden charges at OHSU (like you have to pay for tuition but still have to pay for a bunch of extra things you don't have to at other schools) so make sure you ask some current students about that. These are both just word of mouth though so idk how much truth they hold. OHSU has a great new building and west coast is best coast soooo 😉

If it was Messi I would also think that you are a Spain type of guy. It was a light joke

That seems very high even for NYU. The maximum cost of attendance you can get a loan for at NYU is around 480,000. You can cut the cost of living by a bit but you can do that for Oregon too.

Your entire post sounded to be a sincere advice to the OP so I didn't think that you were saying that as a joke. K.
Last year, an adcom said OHSU had a tuition lock-in throughout the four years. Whether this only applied to IS students, or if it even still exists, Idk.
