OIS for Navy HPSP students

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I'm leaving for OIS on Sunday and would be interested in any advice as well. Did you receive anything other than your orders, travel itenerary and AT Travel checklist from NMETC? I emailed the PSLO at our school for any packing advice and he said 3-4 days worth of clothing (socks, etc), civilian attire appropriate for the weather, as well as the list on the OIS website. He also said to keep packing as light as possible.

I didn't recieve anything other than what you mentioned. I talked to someone who attended last year and he mentioned bringing a lock for our lockers, flip flops for the showers, books for passing time (he said we will have lots of dead time).

Keep an eye out for me, my name is Bryan Currie and I attend Nova Southeastern COM.

Cheers.

Bring just essentials. You can buy what you need at the base exchange, also. Bring civilian clothes for liberty and swim gear for the swim test. Make sure you have money in your accounts. Phone cards come in handy too. Lastly, have fun. OISters have a good time when they're up there.
