I was wondering whether it was ok to copy and paste stuff into ERAS, i heard that some of the stuff messes up whenever you copy stuff into it.

Any info on this?

The problem is pasting from MS Word. All the formating gets flamboozled.

Save the file in plain text format, or cut and paste into Notepad first.

You might not know the answer to this, but maybe you or someone else out there does...Can you see any/all formatting issues on the review screen that comes up after you hit save for the text box for your ps? Hitting save brings up a review screen with your ps in bold, and red question marks for any formatting problems like apostrophes, quotes, hyphens or whatever. If this screen looks okay with no formatting problems, can you assume that your ps is okay, entered in correctly with no problems, or are there additional problems with spacing or something that might not appear at this point?

Also, basically same question I guess, when we choose to print our ps off eras, is that the same format you see it printed off in? Or might there still be any kind of formatting problems 'hidden' on what we see that would be apparent to you?

Paranoid, I know, but you know......

thanks!

I had the same question but for the CAF/CV. When we preview our application are we able to see all potential formatting problems?

I can't tell you if there are other, hidden formatting issues. Again, the safe way around this is to save the file as a plain text file first, or cut-and-paste through Notepad.

Also, make sure you don't have "carriage returns" at the end of every line. That causes line breaks in funny places.

As for how I see your PS, I talked about that here.

And you're taking this way too seriously. No one is going to care if there are some funny formatting issues with your PS.
