Hi, all!

I have not been accepted to Oklahoma State, but I’m currently on the waitlist, the waitlist has begun to move and we only are allowed 48 hours to deny or accept our seats.

I have been accepted to LSU and recently went to their admitted students day and had the BEST time. However, Oklahoma State is a lot closer to home for me which is important to me. As of right now, they’re similar in cost since I’m an out-of-state student for both, this could change if I get pulled off the in-state tuition for LSU since I am an Arkansas resident.

I was just wondering if anybody had any cons or pros for Oklahoma State and LSU?

Thanks.

Check out the Oklahoma thread under the veterinary section (not the pre-vet subsection)

I know LSU has a pretty large class size? You might factor that into your decision.

Hope that helps!

When looking at cost, did you look at cost of living, too?

I’m biased as I teach at Oklahoma State, but you should come to Stillwater. It’s a great place to live, close to two major cities, and smaller class size than most schools. Our NAVLE pass rate is consistently great and we pride ourselves on graduating practice ready veterinarians.

In the end, I’m a big proponent of going wherever is cheapest.
