I am where I want to be in my science subjects part of test, but need help with verbal, I got a 6 on the aamc practice test. I've done the Princeton review verbal book (avg. getting 5 out of 7 questions right).

I started the Berkeley review verbal today. There's 5 sample "walk through" passages, and I was like thinking oh **** this is harder. But I've done 5 passages, and 3 of the 5 passages, I've gotten all 7 out of 7 questions right. Is it me that's improving a lot or is this book too easy?

The biggest difference I've noticed is with Princeton review the question stems are very long (3-4 lines) and most of the questions I'd go back to the passage for. The Berkeley book I have question stems are short (1-2 lines) and I seldom refer back to the passage.

The berkeley verbal book I have, is last copyright in 2002. It has 10 practice sets of 10 passages each (so 100 passages total). I know the new ones have 4 practice tests of 10 passages (40 passages total). Does anyone know if (A) berkeley just decided to shorten their verbal, so they are using just 40 passages from this old book or (B) If those 40 passages are completely different passages and questions ??

I have the EK101 book also, I have time to do both Berkeley and ek101. I mean, it won't hurt to do this Berkeley book, but I am going to base my decision on A or B above. If it's A, than I'll assume these are still good passages since the company decided to reuse many of them. If it's B, I'll assume they aren't as good.

anyone know?
