Got an interview from Indiana today via email. The one and only interview date is 11/4. I went out and got some thai food to celebrate.

Looking at last years interview thread, a good number of programs had already sent interview invites by now (mid-sept). Has anyone received a Parkland or Case interview yet?

I doubt too many programs will send out invites this week because of the AAOMS conference. Hopefully, I am proven wrong though. 🙄

So, as I'm checking this thread daily or more and starting to see a few schools I've applied to have offered interviews already it brought a question to mind. Do schools offer interviews on a rolling basis as they look through the applicants or do they usually offer all of the interviews on the same day or two after reviewing all applicants? I'm assuming they offer the top people on their list pretty much the same day, wait for people to accept them and then maybe offer a few more if they have people declining interviews due to conflicts. I'm hoping its on a rolling basis though for my own sake and I've noticed a few have offered interviews even before their application deadline.
 
I'm going to just start a new thread with that last question to hopefully get some input from people in residency and not just the hopefulls that check this thread. I'm assuming I'm not the only one with this question.
 
Just to let everyone know, UW is going to start reviewing applications next week and the interview date is 11/8 all day. Thought I'd share this info for those of you wondering.

how many people get interviewed at parkland??
and if you haven't heard anything either the interview offer or the rejection from the prorgrams that have already sent out the interview offers, does that mean you most likely didn't get invited to the interview?? thanks!

If you didn't get an invite, you're probably not in the first batch of people they want to talk to. However, if people start to turn a program down as other dates conflict, you could certainly get an invite later on. Look several posts up in this thread, someone heard from a program for an interview 2 weeks after that program initially offered to others. It's very early.

That said, Parkland is obviously a top tier program. People aren't likely to turn down the interview, the first round of offers might be the only ones that go out for them. It's impossible to tell these things....

Good luck to all of us!! I'm sure this is going to be a high-impact 2-3 weeks of offers coming out....
