Hey everyone,
I have a problem and i dont know if its a big deal or not.
I applyed to my college from overseas (I am not an international student i just wasnt in the country), and because it was done from far away, i didnt get all of my paper work in in time. I was denied acceptance because they had a rolling admission, but after speaking with the Director of admissions, i was offered to study as a non-matric student for the first semester. I asked if it would affect me adversly in any way and was told that as long as i did well, the next semester i would be admitted as a matriculated student, and the first semester would change from non matric status to matric.

Ok....so heres the problem:
i just applied to medical school (EAP @ UPSTATE), and hyappend to order a copy of my transcript to my house as well as one for school. The transcript looks normal except for one glaring dissimilarity: No GPA is calculated for my first semester, and no notationm for dean's list exists. all my other semesaters have GPAs and deans list written next to them.
STATS:
FRESHMAN YEAR:
1st semester - 3.775 GPA
2nd semester- 3.775 GPA

Sophmore:
1st- 3.925
2nd- 3.777

DO YOU GUYS THINK ITS A PROBLEM? i just didnt want to raise any red flags on my application

Thanx so much,
i hope your advise is as good as what i saw in the other threads.

you'll be fine. even if there were a GPA calculation there, it'd be ignored. they don't rely on school calculations of GPA; it's strictly the AMCAS magic formula.

thanx,
but dont you think it will rasie a red flag?
everything isd so competitve, ide rather stand out in a good way than a bad way.
thankx anyway!

Are the grades atleast there?
'Cuz I think its ok not to have a numerical GPA, since AMCAS has their own system for that.
But if the LETTER GRADES are also missing, you might have a problem.

yeah the grades are there, its just that the gpa and deans list arent there
