OMG UCSF interview invite!!!

just got an email from ucsf for an interview in october. i thought i'd get rejected from all the top tier schools because of my rc score....but wowzers!!

never had an interview in my life...any advice?

No advice for you, but I am sure the questions will start to flow from those who want to know stuff...

Good luck, search for and read interview threads on SDN, be yourself, be confident...don't know what else to say, other than congrats!

ur RC is a bit low but congrats on the invite... i dont understand what it takes to get to dental school.. i have higher stats than so many applicants and this is still my third year applying... i think luck plays the biggest role.

luck definitely plays a big role. i think my pat score covered my rc score but who knows...maybe it's something in my personal statement or secondary that they're interested in.

So did you get to chose the date, or was a date given to you? and who sent the email, was it a generic UCSF email?

Congrats again, its a great school.

no they chose the date, and u can only switch if u have an exam, DAT, or medical emergency that day, no other exceptions. it was the interview coordinatior sending the email, so u had to reply back to accept the interview within 10 days. i hope i'll be getting a confirmation reply from them just to be sure.

I think his residency also helped. So the whole appl packet matters.

Hey congrats on you first interview! Check the interview feedback in sdn. They post a lot of UCSF interview questions. UCSF is friendly from my experience. Besides getting prepared of possible interview questions, you might wanna be ready to ask them questions as well.
