Anyone have details about this? On the face of it that sounds totally normal for LTC so I am thinking there is more to the story.

At my old LTC facility we had providers sign and date copies of the MAR monthly to act as new written orders. It looks like some whistleblower noted that a similar process was not in place for orders renewed by Omnicare?

Somebody on Reddit read the entire complaint and said it was directed at non-SNF facilities. Basically, the computer system never stopped refills, even on true rxs, not orders.

I worked at Omnicare once upon a time pre CVS and we definitely got rxs for non SNFS so I’m surprised this is that systemic.

I wondered if that was the case. I could see a few ALF or group home orders getting extended here and there by human error or whatever but yeah I am surprised it would be that much of a systemic issue.

Monthly? Wow that sounds like a lot of work lol

We do 6 months for our ALF homes.
