can anyone provide some detail as to how tough to get in and competitive the OMFS residencies are? rankings would be appreciated even more.

I could just onething if you are really interested in OMFS then apply.. there are around 101 residency programs (Hospital based+school based) each accept 2 residents a year .. It means it is so competitive to get in but as I said if you are interested in OMFS then apply.. and Good luck..

Dont forget that 10 of them are Army or Navy programs. Also, not every program accepts 2 residents. Some accept only 1 and some accepts 3 or even more.
