The Aril 30th deadline is approaching and I'm assuming it will give those on a waitlist the opportunity for an acceptance. I currently have 0 MD acceptances but am on a waitlist. I've already submitted a letter of interest/update and copy of my recent research endeavors. Is there anything else I should do to help increase my chances of getting an acceptance?

hypothetically, you could submit letter of intent.... but i am not sure. maybe it is too late. But honestly, couldnt hurt

I think they can see if you’re holding any other acceptances and if you’re not then sending a letter of intent seems a little silly to me. Anyone else have thoughts?

Realistically, I don’t think there’s anything you can really do to increase your chances of acceptance unless you have a significant update that would make them more interested in you. I’d just wait this one out.

Nope, unless you have a seven figure donation check

Nothing to do at this point. They have many ways of knowing that you have no other options after April 30th. Initially, that might be a slight disadvantage, as there is generally a psychological advantage to those who have been chosen by other institutions. However, as the season winds down, especially for mid and lower tier schools, the last couple of acceptees are going to have to be people who have not committed elsewhere and who will be willing to say yes and get to a new city in 72 hours!

Since you already sent your interest, for now nothing to send. After a few weeks to a month, you can send they another update (grades?) just to let them know you are still in the hunt.

It is perfectly legal to donate money to schools directly, so no burst there... only illegal when money was used to bribe someone in the school..LOL
