Hi.

I am waitlisted at the schools I interviewed, and I have contacted my 1st choice school to say that they're my 1st choice + update on what I've been doing/planning to do.

I realize that I should continually call/email so that they're familiar with my name, but I'm not certain how to keep up the contact when I have no updates/news on my end? I mean, just calling repeatedly to say that I'm interested in the school would seem rather desperate, no?

How do you express interest in a school / keep up the contact past the initial update of what you've been doing?

Also: If you have never interacted with the Dean of Admissions, would it be impolite to email him/her directly to express my interest? (That is, if I can find his/her email.) Because so far, I've only contacted the secretary whom I've talked to before. I'm not certain what the protocols are for these things.

Thank you!

Body paint.

Put your resume and academic update on your back, and their school colors on the rest and go streaking around campus. Particularly the admissions office.

Also, a giant foam #1 finger could also help to convey your interest.
