Ok, montelukast dosing is once daily, right?

But the t1/2 is only 3 to 6 hrs...

What am I missing??

Can anyone help rationalize why this is so? For example, Zafirlukast has a t1/2 that is twice as long, but it is BID.

I know I am probably missing something obvious, but I don't know what it is. 😕

Don't know if this is why, but sometimes these guys will clog up a bound receptor longer than their half life. So the half life may be an hour or so, but you see effects for 10.

Thanks for the input--sounds crazy, but you may just be right!
