Hey folks,
It's been awhile since I've posted. I do read threads on here from time to time and have found the advice very helpful. I'm at the beginning of this process and don't feel I have a lot of advice to give others yet. Hopefully that will change as time goes on!
Anyway, to the point. . . I'm currently taking Organic Chemistry lecture, but it's the only class I'm taking. And I'm not taking lab, b/c I've been thinking about getting pregnant with #2 and have read it's unwise to take lab during pregnancy. I'm home with my 17 month old son during the day and work about 20 hours a week. I almost cringe as I'm typing this, because I know some of you take on SO much, and I feel rather unworthy. 🙂 My mom broke her leg at the end of last summer (5 month recovery) and was the primary caretaker for my son, so I've not been able to commit myself to too many things while my husband is at work.
So the question is, will this part-time business look bad to adcoms? Before I had my son, I was taking two classes at a time and working about 30 hours a week. My plan is to do at least a semester or two of full time upper division biology classes to prove I can hack it with a bigger course load.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated--thanks!
