I was under the assumption that one mole of ideal gas has a volume of 22.4L at 25 degrees Celsius and 1atm

Because a question I encountered seems to imply that it is not...

Oh, is it at 0 degrees Celsius?

The question just listen a whole bunch of attributes and asked which of the choices were characteristics of an ideal gas. What I described was a choice I thought was very plausible, and was wondering why it was wrong.

Thanks a million!!

ya STP is at 0 degrees celcius or 273k, 1 atm, an ideal gas at this setting would have volume of 22.4L/mol. Standard conditions is 25 degrees celcius. I got confused on that too when I was doing problems so I straightened it out.

"Thermo"-chem uses standard conditions. Thermo = hot, so its the higher temperature (25 Celsius)
