I was told my a classmate that we are supposed to receive an orange(?) card or something that verifies we have signed up for the Step1 from the NBME.

I signed up for the exam back in February and take the exam in mid-June and I have received NOTHING from the NBME or Prometric in the mail. The only thing I have are emails from them, but nothing in the mail.

What do I need to bring to the Step1? This is really freaking me out because I'm afraid I'll not bring all the stuff I'm supposed to and not be allowed to take the test. :scared:

do you have a scheduling permit? That would be email.

Did you use said scheduling permit to schedule a time to take the test?

If you have a scheduling permit with a Candidate Identification Number (CIN) on it and you've scheduled a time to take the test with a prometric center... you should be fine. (Also make sure your drivers license hasn't expired)

Don't freak out, I think they switched pretty much everything to e-mail on their end. I think we were told we'd be getting something mailed to us as well, but everyone has e-mails and printouts instead now.

Just don't forget to print your electronic ticket after scheduling and you should be good.

they dont send out permits via mail anymore. its just email andy you have to print it out.

dont freak out!

also, if you have questions, email or call the nbme people. theyre really great at helping you out
