I have an interview coming up and I've been thinking about all the possible questions that they might ask. And of course, the infamous "What are your weaknesses?" question popped in my head. So I began asking myself what are my weaknesses and one that I have been struggling with for most of my life is this "All or nothing" type of mentality that I have.

To be more clear, I either do something extremely well or don't do it at all. Should I not talk about this in my interview or is there anyway I can make it sound a little bit better. I want to be honest but not so honest that they reject me. Any advice will be strongly appreciated.

Bend the truth and say "I tend to focus in on one thing at a time."

Then explain the steps you've taken (and will take in the future) to fix this. And that's it!!

I hate that question too. I'm so glad I never got asked it. There's a few different ways to tackle it. I think you should avoid things like:
1. "I work too hard"
2. admitting a serious weakness

I guess you could do #2 if you were really confident in you application. Maybe you'd score honesty points? I wouldn't walk into an interview room with a 3.0/18aa and admit that I have poor study skills though.

A general interview rule is that your delivery matters more than your content, so I would definitely recommend brainstorming your response beforehand (like you are right now). You mostly want to avoid stuttering/stammering/being awkward. The Dental Interview Feedback section on SDN can help you anticipate other oddball/school-specific questions that are meant to through you off.
