one science LOR?

What happens if you only have one science LOR for schools that recommend/want 2? Will they just exclude my application all-together, even if I have 4 other good letters? I tried really hard to apply early in the cycle and all but one of my letters are in, and the prof who was supposed to write my 2nd science LOR isn't responding after 2 reminder emails, so I may only end up having one. Is there any way the adcoms will look past this at my other letters? Thanks.

Man if I were you I would go to his/her office to ask for the damn letter. Don't let that damn letter to hold you back. Good luck.

What happens? Well, your application is never deemed complete. It sits in a pile in an office somewhere and nobody looks at it again. Eventually, your application is thrown away.

The moral: just get the letter.

Well I'm trying really hard to get it, I'm gonna call him tomorrow...but I mean if worst comes to worst and I can't get it...do I still have a chance to get into schools who want 2 sci LORs?

I doubt it, unfortunately; they don't list them as a requirement "just cuz." Find some way to get that letter.
