I took a Business Stats class in undergrad but not all schools accept "Business" Stats. So, I am going to have to re-take Stats in the Math department.

Does anyone know if I could take this course online? I'm going to be very busy next semester and that would work out best for me, but I want to make sure it will count. Would you recommend asking the all the schools I'm applying to? Thanks.

most likely. If you take an online stats class at a community college, there's a good chance it won't show up on a transcript as being an online course (I took abnormal psych online and came into the testing center to take exams. On my transcript it just said "abnormal psych...A"). Since it is a rather basic/non-lab prereq, you should be fine. It may not hurt to check with a few of your top choices though to be sure. I know people who took calc online and they were fine.

As long as it's through an accredited school, you should be okay. If it's through a CC or a local university, ask them if it will appear as an online course on the transcript. If not, then you'll definitely be fine 🙂

I took my statistics class online at a community college and the transcript definitely lists it as an online class. However, I have received 2 interviews so far so it doesn't appear to be an issue. I'd check with the schools you are applying to though because they may feel differently.

I took Stats online at my community college, and the transcript doesn't say anything about the class being online. I think each college is different, so you might want to check whether the college would include this on the transcript or not.

Yeah I know it won't be listed differently on the transcript. But, when you list your coursework on PTCAS, there is that drop down list for special classifications. Is one of them "internet courses"? I already e-submitted and I can't remember.

I tried calling and emailing some of my top choice schools but haven't gotten a response yet. Oh well...I still have a week or so before I need to register anyway. Thanks for the input.
