At my school Histology is offered HOWEVER its ALWAYS an "online" course and the crn is BIO351.OL1
its being offered over the summer as well, would it be bad to take this?? its a 4 credit course still even though its online
I'm not really sure how it works i'd need to ask the registrar tomorrow what exactly an "online" course means or if I'd need to go in for lab ever? There is a professor listed under the course title but again I dont know how that works..
but in any case, the fact that it says "OL1" is that terrible? do dental schools hate online classes?
I dont know what to do.........

I don't think it will be a problem. If online courses are an issue, I assume that dental schools would only care if it was an online prerequisite course. Dental schools look favorably upon histology courses as it is, so it can only benefit your application to take the course.

I think each school is sort of different. I applied (and interviewed) at ASDOH and the lady in admissions told me they were perfectly fine with me taking an online "Human Physiology" course. I also applied to Midwestern-AZ and they told me they would not approve of that same online course. If I were you, I'd just email my top schools and ask if they are ok with it. There are some questions (like this one) that are more accurately answered by someone in the admissions office.

Oh yeah, Human Physiology was a pre-req for those two schools I listed, so...just thought I'd add that. Since Histo isn't a pre-req at any schools that I know of, they probably will not have much of a problem with it. Best of luck to you!!!
