Hello everyone!
I've completed about 41 credits at a traditional university and have a 3.78 GPA. My husband's in the military, and we recently got stationed in a small town that doesn't have many options for school (a very small private 4 yr and a 2 yr). The closest public university is about 3 hours away. I've already started a business management degree at an accredited online university called WGU. However, they have a pass/fail grading system. I plan to finish up my pre-reqs at the 2 yr and possibly go for dental assistant while continuing at WGU.
I'm wondering how all of this will look to admissions. Will they see the cc credits/online school and immediately throw out my application?

I think as long as most of your pre-reqs are taken at a 4-year non-online college, you'll be fine. But in any case, your situation is very unique, so I'm sure adcoms will be more lenient towards you taking online/cc classes.

Yes; that will appear sketchy to admissions committees if it doesn't disqualify you outright. I think you should apply to that 4-year school in your town or seriously consider living away from your husband to complete your undergrad education.

You want to pursue the best pre-dental education you can get rather than just rack up course credits. Otherwise, you may not be prepared enough to score highly on the DAT or be able to pass your courses in dental school. The bachelor's degree isn't just a formality.

If you really want this, take the courses at the small 4 yr school.
Are you eligible for MyCAA? It can help offset the cost of the classes.
Focus on your prereqs for now, then your DAT. THE remaining classes are just a formality you can get done after you apply to dental school.
Good luck!
