Only materials needed for Microbiology ?

Not saying you have too many resources, but better to know a few resources really well than use a bunch of resources and know them superficially. Use a detailed book like clinical micro made simple to learn concepts behind the bugs, and whatever you see in UWorld, feel free to write that into First Aid. I used picmonic (which only consists of microbiology from first aid) to learn all the first aid micro. I would first and foremost prioritize knowing all of FA Micro inside out, and then add with details from other resources. I scored 250+ and only used FA, UW, Pathoma, and a bit of clinical micro made simple to supplement it whereever necessary. That won't cover 100% of what you'll see for micro on step 1, but most of what you need to score well. It's better to know 95+% of First Aid's Micro section (combined with UWorld's micro) than it is to know 70% of the all the info in the books you mentioned.

oops i shouldve included FA in my list as well, i'm using that too.
I was reading LANGE Review of medical micro, but after reading couple chapters I thought i was wasting my time.

There are no ''concepts'' behind micro , you either memorize it or you don't .. LESS IS MORE --> Sketchy Micro + FA and the clinical pictures from Kaplan book is all you need… I did the mistake to actually go through all these resources and it was a HUGE waste of time , please don't repeat my mistake..

I'm using purely sketchy + FA for micro. Crushed my coursework with it, and see no reason to add another complicated resource on top of it.

Is it a bad idea to start sketchy during 2nd year if I didn't use it in 1st year micro? I've heard so many great things about it. I am decent at micro but forget a lot of the virulence factors sometimes. I can generally associate the main labs, growth media, and disease though. But I can't nail down those virulence factors!

Are there certain chapters in the Clinical Microbiology Made Ridiculously Simple book that people recommend? I'm planning to go through FA's micro section and Sketchy Micro for sure.
