This may be a silly question, but I've been thinking about it so why not ask you guys and girls? 😛

If you're accepted to a school OOS, is it usually that you have some sort of affiliation with them or is it ever where they accept someone without relatives there, no alumni who are relatives, or that you haven't lived in that state in the past?

I guess I'm asking because I'm very open as to where I will live and practice in the future but I'm not sure how you can convey this other than at an interview/after an interview expressing your interest in the school and the area it's in.

Anyone care to comment? 🙂

I have a sibling who got accepted out of state to Florida with no ties to the state or school.

Ok great, thanks for the response!

Yeah, my question was concerning more of the public schools that would be considered out of state for me, so good to know you don't have to have some type of affiliation or relative who's an alumni. 👍
