How good of a DAT/GPA do you need as an OOS resident applying to a state school to be awarded a scholarship that makes tuition equal to instate residents? If you are a current dental student that has received an academic scholarship I would greatly appreciate your knowledge!

All OOS students at Nebraska get an automatic scholarship to drop the tuition to in-state.

Why do they post an out of state tuition then? Just curious because Nebraska actually is one of the schools I was strongly considering.

I have no idea why they post an OOS but this really is the case, I'm an OOS at Nebraska.

Are you sure this is for the first year. Some schools offer that option after you have completed the first year. I wasn't aware any schools immediately gave you in state tuition.

Yup, this is even for the first year.
