A DO school nearish me is having an open house. Would it be okay to bring my husband and young daughter with me? And is there any sort of attire usually expected at them? I read the link/info I was sent on it, but did not see any thing specific about this.

Business casual. Dont make any sales pitch unless you are specifically asked about your application. I think its VERY important to bring your family since it shows how serious you are about the school.

Be sure to ask for business cards from whoever you speak (or contact info). Be sure to thank them for their time later on.

I would call the admissions department or whatever department and ask for details like this. At my schools open house there were no families around for it.

I would second getting a business card from whoever gave you the tour. For me, I made sure I did, and I made sure to show my interest in the school by asking several questions. No use going to an open house if you have absolutely no questions whatsoever, in my opinion.

I would call ahead to see if its ok to being your family. As a first year who gives tours, we never had someone bring their family. There are certain limitations such as space that I could imagine being a problem - so I would def call ahead of time

As for attire: definitely wear business casual.

Family is good but no children, not the place
