I have spent three summers in the Operating Room. Some of the experience being paid and some of the experience being volunteer. I was wondering from a letter or rec stand point.....The Chief of Surgery has already mailed my letter of recommendation. Do you think it would be overkill to have the VP of Nursing (Head Nurse of the Hospital) to write a letter explaining what my duties were on a daily basis. She said she would write a letter and recommend me. Is that overkill to have both the Chief and the VP of Nursing to write a letter?

Probably can't hurt to get the letter, especially if she came to you wanting to write a letter. I mean, it IS overkill, but if she wants to tell people how great you are; I don't know that I'd stand in her way 🙂
