Opinions....please DAT set for 2-14-06

My DAT is scheduled for 2-14-06 and I'm a nervous wreck!!! I have Topscore and have been studying like crazy. Anyway, my new computer broke and I am left with this old one that has Win95 and the other cd from 3q wnn't work on this version of Windows.
I have been studying for the test from my textbooks and topscore but I feel like I won't be as prepared bc. of the "3Q CD" that won't work..Do you guys think I will do okay without the info from that cd??? Opinions....please.Also I applied in May 2004 and have yet to be rejected from any school. But my gpa is low so I need to ace the dat.

it sounds like you need to ace the exam. The first step is NOT to freak out..because that is only going to lower your self confidence. ALways have the 'i'm going to kick ASs' attitude...because if you've studied real hard for it..then you shouldn't have a problem.
I understand your concern...i have a low gpa too..and the only thing that will 'balance out' my low gpa is to ace the dat's (meaning 20s and above). If i were you...and i was nervous about it..i would reschedule the exam until maybe end of February...or Mid march and just nail the exam. Just go for it once..if youve done topscores ..you should be fine. Just keep practicing and work on the areas that you feel most weak about...try kaplan as well..or DAT achiever... just don't even think about retaking it..just nail it the first time round!

Is there any specific reason you scheduled your test on the Valentine's day?
Do you think St. Valentine will bring you some good luck?

But anyway... take it easy and relax. Be confident. There is nothing worse than not being confident right before the test. It can do a lot of damage.
I'm sure you've worked hard enough.

See if you have the op specs for XP... 128MB Ram/300MHz/1.5G

Reformat your old computer (DOS Prompt C:/format C: [enter])
Install XP using software that came with the new computer.

If you feel like you're not ready by the time that test comes around, feel free to reschedule it to a few days later. 🙂

Just got for it. If you've been studying this much, I think you should be okay.

The DAT is really a test you never feel quite ready for. You just end up going in and doing well. Buckle down the next couple of days and do some studying, if you've done most of the tests already you should be fine for the exam anyway.

Good luck to you! And you're taking it early enough that if you NEED to, you can take it again and still be competitive for the application cycle. You're really ahead of the game.
