  1. Pre-Dental
I finished my freshmen yr last semester. My GPA right now is a 3.0, I actually brought it up from a not so good first semester.

I recently got certified as a dental assistant, and I got hired to work on weekends, EVEN when fall semester stars, which I'm thankful for. I've gotten about 50 hrs of shadowing done, I'm going to start volunteering at a hospital and start doing research next semester. My course load isn't to bad, I start taking my pre-reqs this year with Bio 1 & 2, I'm a sociology major, I'm taking Chem 1 and 2 over the summer next yr at my university, junior year I'd be taking Oragano 1 and 2, then summer of 2010 I'll be taking the DAT right when I apply, and then finish off the senior year with physics and bio chem.

What do you guys think, am I headed in the right direction so far? my schedule isn't hard at all this semester and next semester so I'll prolly be able to bring my GPA up to around a 3.4 maybe even higher. Tell me what you guys think about everything I'm doing and will be doing, thanks!

u said ur taking bio 1 and 2 this coming year? may i ask what did u take your freshmen year? i'm gona assume sociology/elective courses? only thing i wana mention is that u might find science courses alot more challenging (IMO). But you seem to have a good attitude and headed in the right direction, good luck.
