I'm a bit confused on the treatment for heroin addiction in first aid (p.471)..specifically is naloxone + buprenorphine for the "intoxication problems" and the methadone for the "withdrawal" problems?

I ask this because surely you wouldn't want to use naloxone + buprenorphine right after a heroin user takes heroin right because you would only precipitate withdrawal symptoms.

Naloxone has zero oral bioavailability. It's to prevent abuse by IV admin. Buprenorphine can still precipitate withdrawal though.
