are insurances in your area starting to limit how much opioids are being approved?
i want to say I've heard off hand that insurances are starting to only cover limited number of day supplies, regardless of how much a prescriber writes for.

It's been variable over the last few years. Usually just for acute pain or new Rx/insurance. In my experience, insurances will allow anything reasonable, but it may require authorization or P2P.

basically dont use walmart, they limit everything.
I've thought about telling patients if they dont give you all the pills, have the pharmacist write the prescription or give you more, because its not my problem

honestly for most of these inherited patients, i don't mind these limitations.
