Opportunities in Yale/New Haven?

Hello, I've been going through threads and looking at the pros/cons of Yale. I was wondering if anyone has any insight on New Haven/surrounding areas. My fiance will be moving with me to whichever school I decide on, so I want to make sure that he will be able to find a job as well. He might be able to get an assistant job through Yale but is it possible for him to find something not directly connected to the university? Just wanted to see if anyone has experience with this! Thank you so much for your help🙂
