So I am currently applying to optometry schools. Im a little confused about how to fill out the optometric experience/shadowing section. Is it better to fill that out in a bullet format or more like a mini essay? And how much should one expand on shadowing/work experiences since what I have learned from shadowing is diagnosis/treatments, which are things that people on the admissions committees already have knowledge of. So I don't know how much time I should spend on explaining the diagnosis/evaluation of a cataract patient or ptosis patient for example. Please shed some light on this topic for me! I'm trying to get my app in as soon as possible and this is something I am very confused about.

I wrote in an essay format. I heard about people using the bullet format but I feel using the bullet is a little less professional. In my opinion, don't treat this part like a resume, be detailed, thorough and oriented. I used as much as the character limit as possible. I don't know if there is a right or wrong answer for this, but I don't think you can go wrong by using the essay format. You got one shot at making your application as great as possible so make it count, no shortcuts!
