Optometry Career Path? Other professions?

Im looking into various career options and optometrist made it onto the list. I was wondering how it works? Do optometrists take the MCAT & attend Medical School? Or is it an entirely different graduate school process. Please help & Thank you! Also please suggests other career options and their education pathways.

Optometry is not a medical specialty. They go to optometry school and take a different set of exams. You might be thinking of ophthalmology which is a medical specialty.
