hello members,
I just want to know why people are so negative with the oral B 3D powered toothbrush. I think this is a great toothbrush, simply because of how the brush works. I own one right now and let me tell you, this brush works great, i have used the sonicare (really powerful), but found the size of the oral B 3d slimmer and quieter. also longer battery life, but that is relative. I mean look at the technology, if sonicare's technology was the greatest wouldn't dentist and dental hygenist use it? Look at what the dentist and dental hygenist are using today. A similar technology with oral B's. please no offense to the sonicare users, i think it's a great brush and works well. but look at it this way, if you wanted to polish the surface of a tooth not multiple, which one would you use?

if they would come and give us a free brush like sonicare...i'll consider trying them 😛

stargirl,
i agree with you 😉....... the only ones that i've seen so far from oral B is the cheap kind battery powered, not the 3d. sonicare is smart for just giving out their tooth brushes for free. i don't think many people would just spend 70 bucks or so on a powered tooth brush when they are doing just fine. hmmm...... i wonder what the ratio is of people who received sonicare for free and people who actually bought the brush...... this would be interesting.........

i think only dental students get it for free because they want you to promote their product... it's genius...
i'll bet they make a lot just from the brush heads. I use to have a sonicare and would like to try the 3D...but when you bearly have money to eat...you're not thinking about buying a toothbrush for X amount of money....

From what we have learned the 2 brushes are pretty much the same when it comes to cleaning teeth. but then so is a manual tootbrush as long as you are not lazy. We were told both brushes are good and some people just prefer one over the other since, a lot of people dont like how powerful the soniccare is. Either way the class last year got both sonicares and oral B 3-D's for free, but this this soniccare is coming 🙁 , but we are still getting oral B's for free, so Ill let you know how it works when I get mine.

Actually, I know that Oral B gives out free electric toothbrushes. An Oral B rep came to Temple a couple months ago to give all the 1st years a free Oral B 3D excel tooth brush :-D. I dunno....I like mine, but I could be saying that cause I got it for free 😛
