Hi,
Can anyone please give me a chemical reasoning about why Orapred must be refrigerated where as Prelone and Pediapred can be stored at room temperature?

thank You

i guess a year ago by now i had a patient call in who didn't read the storage directions on this product and had not stored it in the fridge. i was on rotations at the time and the rph made me look up the manufacturer's number and call them to find out how long it was ok to leave it out.
the number i had didn't work, no answering machine, automated answer, nothing... we tried several times and finally had to call the woman back and say the pharmacist could not say that the medicine was still as effective as it once was and she needed an new rx.
