Organ Transplant System ‘in Chaos’ as Waiting Lists Are Ignored

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Oh, look, when you prioritize expediency and cost, you end up with injustice and crappier care.

Oh, look, when you tie reimbursement to just outcome and not process, you end up with worse results.

It works this way in all of healthcare and we've bitched for decades. Now the shocker.

Although I will say I've observed the Times is not as impartial as you might hope in its reporting, and often looks to create a more clickbait-y analysis especially regarding health topics, where I also sometimes can spot evidence of a sort of lay person analogy. I no longer trust either as well when they "analyze thousands of pages" or what have you.

It certainly seems like it is an issue, but I would need to see this topic addressed by experts to get a sense of how inappropriate this is, especially the specific cases cited.
