I am writing my PCAT in july and I have never taken organic chem outside the small section in general 1st year chem.
I know there have been many posts about this, but none have really given an exact answer to my question.
I'm looking for someone who has taken the pcat and can just give me a list of items form organic chem (1 or 2) that were testable.
I have acess to textbooks and many other materials, I just need to know what direction to go in study wise.
Even if you can just modify the information I already have, that would be greatly appreciated.
As far as i'm aware the testable sections are;
Nomenclature, Functional Groups, E1, E2, Sn1 &Sn2.
There was also buzz about needing to know reactions with aldehydes, alcohols, ethers, esters, aromatics, carboxylic acids, ketones. But I don't know if any/all of these are required knowledge.
I also realise that the best way to find out is to buy a practice exam, but i'm short on money so please don't suggest that.
Thank you.
