Cracking open my TBR Organic Chemistry and holy **** is this dense. No way I can learn this much in a day. It's been 3 years since I had organic Chemistry so I'm for sure rusty, but would EK suffice to nail down the concepts by chance?

EK. TBR orgo is unnecessarily long. Unless you did bad in your orgo class, dont bother.
EK has everything you need to know. But you mite find some concepts hard to understand if you dont remember much from your class.

I recommend doing TBR passages, however. They are really good.

Thank you. I'll focus on EK, and if I need to fill any gaps, will refer to TBR. The passages do look pretty good in TBR and so I'll certainly use them.

TBR Orgo passages are a goldmine. I read the whole TBR Orgo book and I thought it was great, but yes it is pretty dense. I don't regret reading it though. It was written by the same guy who wrote the TBR Gchem books so it's of top quality.

I used both. Felt that TBR OChem was way better and completely attribute my success to that.

When I was studying for the MCAT, I was trying to decide between EK, TPR, and TBR for Orgo. I felt EK was way too simple, TBR was too dense, and TPR was in the middle. I ended up using TPR Orgo. While I did well in the BS section, I remember my performance on the orgo passages on the AAMC FL to vary quite a bit. Looking back, I wish I had stuck to TBR to get some extra points on the BS.

Either one of those can probably help you get a 10+ on the BS, but if you want a higher score, I would choose TBR.

EK orgo combined with TBR bio got me a 12 in BS. It really depends on how good you were with ochem in the first place. If it's been a while or you weren't all that confident with your skills, go all out with TBR. I got As in orgo I+II, so it wasn't as big a focus for me.
