Hello everyone,
DAT < 3 weeks away. I'm overseas and internet access here is pretty hard to come by - sorry if I can't reply immediately.
We all know radicals, ect.. prefer 3rd degree BUT do we need to take into account all of the 1 degree also. My test book makes a pretty big deal out of this. Say there are 9 first degrees and only one 3rd degree that should be around 5.5 x more reactive. The major product is the 1st degree product. Question 99 of the Topscore exam is a pretty good example of this.
After taking all of these practice tests, it would be hard for me to not answer 3rd degree product on the real exam. I'm really not trying to overthink this thing just trying to be careful.
Thanks in advance...
