I am so sorry for asking so many questions! But why C is the answer! It is asking about diastereoisomers! It is sole because of having more than one chiral center.
Thanks

If you see a molecule with MORE than two chiral carbons at the end of a reaction, this means that diastereomers are possible. Look at the solution to this problem. After the reaction is over, do you see more than two chiral carbon ? If not......I will help you. Both carbons with the bromine are chiral as well as the carbon with the ETHYL group ! In addition to this problem, make sure that you are comfortable in doing R and S evaluation when in 3D or Fischer notation. Hope this helps.
