I have 8 hrs GChem, 8 hours OChem, 8 hours physics, and 3 hrs biochem left to take. What is the best way to organize my schedule as far as not overloading myself but not taking forever either? My thinking is

Semester 1
GChem 1+lab
Phys 1+lab

Semester 2
GChem 2 + lab
Phys 2+lab

Semester 3
Ochem 1+lab

Semester 4
Ochem 2+lab

Semester 5
Biochem

If I can shorten this I would be definitely interested.

This is very similar to what I did. If you’re strong in math, go for it. Phys 1 is more challenging than 2, and chem 2 is more challenging than 1, so it balances nicely.

You can very likely take Biochemistry at the same time as Ochem II, at least that's how it was at my school. Ochem I covers *almost all* of what you need for Biochemistry. In addition, my Biochemistry class wasn't very mechanism heavy, so if you have an idea of how Biochemistry is at your school, taking it with Ochem II may certainly be an option.

This is all, of course, if the school allows you to do so.

Edit: Now that I really think about it, I probably could have taken Biochemistry without any organic chemistry classes. I took Biochemistry twice as I took it once in undergrad, and once during my SMP. In both, specific and/or complicated mechanisms were rarely discussed.

I'm not particularly strong in math, chem or physics but I'm trying to study ahead of time to get a jump on it. I don't want to spread it out too much.

Are there any specific non required classes you would recommend for MCAT mastery?

Psych and Sociology, statistics would help too.

Physics 1 and Chem 2 are verrrryyy math intensive. I’m always unsure of what to recommend. I took bio/chem/phys all at the same time, all with labs. My mentors told me I shouldn’t risk it, that id be spreading myself too thin. I ended up with a 4.0 GPA. So I could handle it, but only you know your limits. It is doable, but it is far from easy.

I have all three of those for nursing. I'm thinking hematology, etc since science has always been easy for me. I hardly studied for Gbio, medical micro, or AP. Hearing the lecture was enough for me.
