When you react 1-methyl cyclohex-1-ene with Br2 in water, what is the product?
add Br and OH to double bond, but OH add to the high substitute. so you produce 2 bromo 1 methyl cyclohexanol

the water here is not acting as a solvent, its acting more like a reactant, is that so?

and im almost positive br2 and h20 across a double bond is an anti-addition, just in case the answer involved cis or trans.
