Hi all, I am new here!!! I am having problems with these questions, please help me out.

On #6 of Kaplan Subject Test #3 for Orgo, I seriously don't understand why the answer is E. Isn't back side attack give you a trans instead of a cis? I also have the DAT Destroyer, on the DAT Destroyer, it goes... adding Cl2/CCl4 will give a trans. also attacking epoxide gives a trans. Anyone please help me. Thanks a lot. I know what I have wrote is very confusing and sorry about that.

well, opening an epoxide's trans by default. nature of the mechanism.

halide addition, can be cis or trans. you should review the mechanisms, here. it's not as straight forward.

Then do you know why Kaplan said it's cis? :=(? I am so confuse. Thanks.
