I have heard that the future of orthodontics is bleek. Too many orthodontists in practice,too many general dentists doing orthodontics,and decreasing birth rate. I have also heard that the future of orthodontics is the brightest of any speciality. More people seeking orthodontic treatment especially adults, do to better dental insurance. Just wanted to know more info about this subject. Which ones true. 😉

Well, all of the health professionals I talk to say orthodontics is a great field and has great potential. haven't heard anything about it being bleak.

I would have to say that orthodontics

probably has the best future behind perio

and maybe endo too. Also i have noticed

that many people have said u need to be

in the top 5% in your class to get into

ortho. That is totally incorrect. If u

graduate top 25% with boards around 95

you are a shoe in. If u are looking to go

into ortho go to an academic school like

Columbia or Penn, which usually match

around 100% in ortho. 😀
