Hey everyone

My LOR for my "dentist" requirement is coming from an orthodontist..will that suffice? or does it need to come from a general dentist?

you need it from a general dentist. I had one from my dentist and from an orthodontist. Schools will tell you the same thing, get one from a general practitioner.

My LOR was from an orthodontist, and they never even mentioned it.

no you don't need one from a general dentist, i think as long as you shadowed a general dentist that is fine but the LOR doesn't matter

I'm not sure if it was necessary with your TS of 28 and RC of 30. lol

It might be fine without a GP's letter but it can't hurt to follow school's guide lines.

My letter was from an orthodontist and no schools ever said anything. However on some school's secondary, they require signatures and descriptions of shadowing only from general dentists.
