Hey

I am shadowing an orthopedic surgeon who does primarily arthroscopic and joint replacement surgery. I would like to build on my background knowledge about orthopedic surgery and I was wondering if anyone had suggestions about good journals that do strong review articles about orthopedics or any journals specific to orthopedic surgery that are highly regarded in the field/that I should follow.

Thanks.

I'm an MS3, but here's what I've been told. JAAOS is good (Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons). I've also been told that if you want to really impress an ortho doc you're shadowing, know your anatomy absolutely COLD. It's great to know about a current review or new technique from a paper, but you can't rattle off the relevant anatomy in your sleep, it doesn't really matter that much.

Netter's ortho atlas is good as a resource too. Just what I've been told.
