I am currently working on my pre-med right now, and am still trying to decide whether i should go into osteopathic or allopathic. Im hoping to go into pediatrics in a practice or something, but am not really sure which would be the better choice. I have read that osteopathic doctors put more emphasize on the holistic approach to medicine, but is that the only real difference? And is it possible that after you spend time practicing medicine that you could move away from the holistic side? Please, I just want facts.

I think if you wanted to do peds, it probably doesn't matter whether you goto osteopathic or allopathic school. Also the holistic approach now depends on the preson more than what school you goto. I think there are allopathic schools that teach that as well. Only real difference maybe that osteopathic schools require OMM in their curriculum.
