Hey kids...I officially got my OSU rejection letter🙁 But onto other things! I know some people are crazy with wanting to know how things work at OSU...a friend of mine who interviewed actually just asked them, "how does this whole admissions thing work here"? So...the admissions committee meets every Tuesday to discuss the interviews from the week before. And they make acceptances, rejections, and wait til February when all interviews are done. You will see on your status page "Decision" if they've made a decision...besides that, I think you have to wait til Feb. to find out. That's all I know! Good luck to the rest of you....and if you don't get in, I'll be seeing you next application cycle! 😛

I have to admit, I've been basically ignoring status pages since I had a minor problem with mine at OSU (which fortunately got resolved LONG before my interview). Indeed after they called me the other day, I check and it had said a decision has been made. I hope that helps!

Same here. I had my interview December 7th so I've been anxiously checking since OSU staff has been back from break. Let me know if anyone hears anything. When was your interview?

I interviewed the same week as you. Just the thought of waiting until February is unbelievable. If only it was like the GRE's and we can find out immedietely.

I interviewed on December 7th as well!!

No change in my application status yet -- still Referred...

Well, I had my Ohio State interview December 7th as well, and I saw my status page was changed to "decision" about a week after my interview, but that was the first time I checked since before the 7th, and I heard by mail about 11 or 12 days after my interview that they "could not accept my application for admission," so think about it like at least you were good enough to make it to February.
Although, when I called for the conversation about why I didn't get in, the woman I spoke with said they had 1000 applicants and only interviewed 400, and they only accept 38 of 585 out-of-state applicants, so I shouldn't be too discouraged. I highly recommend you have one of those "why I was rejected" appointments since they mark down what they discussed with you to see if you have improved it the next time you apply.

I haven't heard a thing from OSU. How do I even know they got my stuff?? Are we running out of time for interviews....is it over yet?? I'm sooooo tired of waiting!

Have you not heard anything since they sent your VMCAS or since the supplemental? They sent out emails saying whether or not they received all of your materials in late October/early November. They sent an email in Mid-November saying that they would be starting interviews in late November. Usually they only give a weeks notice about interviews and they let you know via email. They are interviewing through February so you still have some time to hear from them. Hopefully you'll hear something soon!

I just checked my OSU application status and it says decision. I don't think I'm going to be able to sleep until I get the letter. Keeping my fingers crossed!!

Thank you both! 🙂 I also interviewed the 7th so I wasn't expecting to hear anything until the end of the interview process. I think I'm going to go set up a lawn chair next to my mailbox waiting for the letter. I'll keep you updated whether good or bad
