The cowboys have been kicking some serious ace lately. Is this a bad reason for me to want to attend OSU? Top 25 football team on top of that!

this is a fantastic reason to attend OSU. It was a minor part of my decision, since I didn't attend a Division I school for undergrad. I always wanted to be a part of bigtime college football and basketball.

But you're not really a part of it since the campus is 60+ miles away.

You can probably get some tickets though.

how about those Jayhawks 😀 ?

Though I am a loyal KU fan, OSU is one of my favorite teams to watch. Their teams are always tough as hell and play awesome defense.

Jayhawks do rock. Then again so does OU in both football and basketball normally. I went to OSU for engr grad school in Tulsa.

Some trivia about OU: Basketball is played in Lloyd Noble Stadium. The first scheduled concert was Laurence Welk. For some reason it was cancelled or rescheduled and the first concert ever played in the arena was Led Zeppelin. Now, that's cool 😎

Up until about 1985 or 1986, the hi rise (coed) dorms at OU had beer for sale in the convenience store on the ground floor. Back then, the legal age was 18.

Sorry for the thread jacking there, I couldn't help myself. Eddie Sutton sure does know how to recruit and coach some good bball players. Just watch him and make sure he doesn't give away any more cars, cash, or other NCAA violations. I'm sure he learned his lesson at Kentucky.

That's kind of like Bobby Knight coaching at Texas Tech. No way would he have gone there before being busted.

Going to games, getting loaded, watching games, high-fiving at bars = being a part of it.

Yea, I see your point. Thing is, that's what I always do with my friends regardless of where I'm located. Can't beat the games in person though. Not being on campus is not quite the same though.

Listen to Ortho, he's got a point. You can and are offered season tickets to buy as an OSU student but you will not have time except for an occasional game, and it seems that all the good home games coincide with big tests.........

Listen to me. you find the time to go. it's all about priorities.

and guess who has final four tickets locked up? 😎

and you've got to be very dedicated to it if you're going to spend that much time on any one thing, but you are right you do have the occasional free weekend, but I tend to visit family or friends from back home.

the point is, don't let them get the impression that it's a frequent thing, I know none of my classmates that manage more than 2 games during the fall and not many even made it to two. and to pick a school simply based on their affiliated sports isn't the best way to go about it......

Come on. honestly, what else is there when picking a school?

your classmates are gunners.

square mile/restaurant ratio, and number of hot girls?..........

you might think that our class is gunners, but I promise we have lots of fun out side of class activities on those slow nights where you have just a few hours to goof off.

we are definitely kicking ass, i dont know how lucas does it, making unbelievable shots with all those big guys he so damn small 😀.
National championship coming up! Oh and OU sucks this year just for icing 😀.

I couldn't help but chime in on this one. If you go to OSU for med-school then you can get tickets to the games, but you have to purchase season tickets for footbal before you can be eligible to purchase bball tickets.

I also have to say Bobik is the man!. 😎 If he had half the shots that those others guys take, he'd be over 20 every night also.

Yeah, Bobik transferred from my undergrad and we were sad to see him leave, but I think it was a good move on his part!
