Pacific University :

Pros:
Finish in 3 years
Potentially have a 3-day weekend
Friendly staff and other well established programs

Cons:
$30,000 tuition
Block calendar with a 90% passing rate
Not accredited

Oregon State Univ:
Pros
Tuition is half the rate of pacific
Accredited
Finish fourth year at OHSU (great 🙂)

Cons:
Farm city, smells funny
Facility isn't that great
1 year more than Pacific

So which school is better based on these facts?

*The first two years are in Corvallis, 3rd year is at OHSU and the fourth year is throughout Oregon at various locations for rotations.

If the accreditation thing is bothering you, I wouldn't let it. Pacific knows what they are doing with their health professional programs and they are copying a program that has shown good results.

Better??? Can not answer that question for you with the given criteria. It completely depends on the person. It depends on what kind of learner you are to figure out which method of teaching will benefit you greatest.

For young people Corvallis is actually an ok town, well definitely better than the part of Hillsboro that Pacific is in. But Pacific is very close to Portland so that is a big plus for a lot of people, lots of fun to be had.
OSU's facilities are not brand new but they lots of labs available, with a great deal of research going on around campus at various labs, plenty of lab experience if that is what you are looking for. That is the only thing I really saw missing at Pacific, but it is a new school they will build up and have that aspect in time. Pacific is very modern and the building is state of the art, a very homey feel to the building, great learning environment is the feeling I got from it.

I think it all comes down to how you learn. What school's format will make you personally the best pharmacist you can be??

You have to answer that one for yourself.

Just remember the farm city is only two years (3rd year is at OHSU, 4th is rotations, unless I wasn't listening/reading right) and you won't smell that way when you move. If tuition is 15/yr *4 yrs = 60K 30*3=90
I'd say the only real decision is 3yrs vs 4yrs and what the differences in experience will be. Will 3 yrs be rushed, leaving little time for comprehension/application or not. Will the extra year prevent you from reaching any short/long term goals. I'd say unless the year means all that much to you that saving 30 K would be worth it.

when it comes down to money both school equal out... no? Thats what I was told and figure by others. The tution for OSU during 3rd and 4th year is higher than the 1st 2 years. I was told by some current students it can get up to 10k more than the 1st 2 years. Also with Pacific.. you get out earlier hence you'll be making money sooner. Doesnt Pacific have "labs".. I know when I was shown a lab room being built, also I think they have some research on their main campus.

There is one lab on the pharmacy floor, I was under the impression that there really was not any research going on for students to take part in but I could be wrong. I do not think it is that important, just a difference between the schools. OSU students and Pacific students are going to both most likely end up staying in Oregon to be pharmacists and it is better to try and make a positive connection between the students of both schools than try and say one is better than the other. It would be cool to try and set up some kind of Oregon pharmacy student retreat.

Tutions should not be a factor here, others are more of personal preferences. However, entering the job market a year early certainly gives numerous advantages.
